Abbie and I went for a walk today. It managed to clear up for a minute and we took full advantage of it. She is doing well and we are spending a lot of time together considering I have to go check on my pups and visit the farm for a short time. But the rest of the time is spent with her. We walked, watched movies and she was very happy with her McDonald's run today. Yes, she is no longer French Fry deprived. She hung out a lot of the day today. She seems to like it more outside now. But she still likes jumping up on the bed (via the stool) and cuddling with me. She is the best!

Things on the farm....

Everyone is doing well at the ranch (so to speak). The cleaning lady came yesterday and so Cassie and Sonny decided to tear up some wood on the front porch. Enough to build a fire...luckily its hard to hold a match in their little paws so the house was saved. Then they just stared in the window as if to say 'Let us in'.
There was a Blue Heron in the pond and some kind of unique little bird in the feeder (can't remember the name Kathy told me). The horses are fat and sassy and Barnie is, well, just Barnie. The sun hasn't been out all day today but it is warm and overcast, about 68 high. But at least it gave the pups some time to roam the property. Suppose to rain tomorrow but this is Washington.....rain, rain, rain.
The important thing is everything is cool!

Incognito at the Fire Hydrant.....

Yesterday was GORGEOUS! Abbie and I took a long walk but she didn't want to be seen by the Fire Hydrant. Honestly, she didn't do a thing to that Hydrant :-).
As you can see by her tongue hanging out that this walk was on the way home. She had enough of walking and was visualizing her water bowl by this time. She is the perfect pet and doesn't give me any problems at all. Today she got a bone for a treat (a fully digestible one, of course) from Mud Bay. She is happy as a clam and asleep on her blanket bed. It rained most of the day today but we are suppose to have another sunny day on Saturday so we will walk again. Then on Sunday it is her 'McDonalds Run' of course. She can smell those french fries a mile away!!!!!

Farm Livin is the Life For Me........

We are back at the farm and all of the animals are relishing in the attention. Cassie has turned into quite a beauty with her red hair. She is smarter than she wants you to know because she is too busy playing and romping and causing havoc. I know some people like that! The horses are doing great. They are loving grazing on the pasture. Kathy is giving them treats every day and I make a visit over to check on things while Kathy is there. Everyone came out for the photo shoot today and it was gorgeous to boot! So, everyone got their picture in on this one. Nothing to report as all is going well. I will post again in a couple of days!

Abbie and her bone....

Abbie's Mom and Dad left early this morning. She greeted me in the front yard, wagging her tail and a jump in her step. I love it when she greets me because she is truly happy about seeing me. Of course, she also has her little snout in my bag as she KNOWS I always bring her a treat. So, here she is knawing away at her little bone I bought her. She will want out any minute to bury it in her vast back yard only to dig it up later after the rain when it is all wet and muddy. Yuck! She is doing great. She really looks good and I like her puppy cut! She's a happy girl.

New Kids on the Block

I am so behind in my blogging. I am taking time out today to get caught up and appologize to my three newest kids on the block! Meet Bentley, CJ and Max. They are the cutest Bassets and although they are a handful, they are sweet as can be. Well, Bentley is kind of cranky but he has earned his time here on earth to be cranky if he wants. Besides, its a 'cute' cranky. They live a little further than most of my clients but they were certainly worth the drive. I am hoping we will be seeing more of them.
